A two-hundred-year-old farmstead in the Loire Valley region of France with the modern touches of Pierre’s van and the photovoltaic panels on the barn roof. My sister, with the help of the neighbor with a tractor, plants this field of flowers every year. I did this back in 2010 and it’s one of my favorites.
I have many photos of the field over several years but none has done justice to the emotional impact of the colorful beauty of the thousands of flowers. The action of the artist’s hand and paintbrush and paint conveys human feelings that I feel are not in the photos although paintings and photos are both creative processes.
